Ok, but we’re all trying to communicate to you that “the culture” of the Tennessee Baseball program under Vitello has literally never been stronger.
95-99% of all D1 baseball programs and their respective supporters would love to implement “our culture” of recruiting and developing talented AF guys that consistently win a shite ton of games. All while blasting bomb after bomb along the way until our graduating/draft eligible starters get selected by the MLB draft.
“The culture” Vitello has established at Tennessee has functioned like a well oiled machine going on a near decade now. Not even being a homer here, just is what it is.

7 years ago we were the worst baseball program in the conference. He literally had nothing to work with initially…
Flash forward to today and we have won 3 East division titles and 4 SEC titles within the last five years. Omaha 3 of the last 4 years. Oh ya, and today we happen to be playing for our spot in a Natty title series…
That’s as cultured as culture gets in a baseball program, baby! Results speak for themselves
Your program doesn’t achieve what Tony’s has thus far in his 7th year at the helm without establishing a pretty decent…*checks notes*…CULTURE!

What does?
Admittedly, this really should have ended this thread!

This is the stupidest post I’ve read in a long time. Tony V is a lot like Kiffin. He made some mistakes early on, but is a damned good coach. Rumlin was just rumlin and got lucky with queersberry and jfb. Had some lucky wins along the way too. There is not a comparison.

I don’t see the comparison. Tony V has his team at #1. Sumlin literally flamed out after Johnny.

You should tamp it down for about a week. You have absolutely nothing to do with the performance of the baseball team. Also you will likely lose a couple of years off your life span if the Aggies don't win.

You just don't know. You missed the actual facts while sneezing.

Tony V is actually winning. He is a championship away from validating everything he’s done.

The OP shows he has NO CLUE about the culture in the Vol baseball program.
EVERYTHING is about building your teammates. EVERYTHING is about the team. Listen to player interviews. Listen to the Tony V rant after the Supers.
You are building your opinions off media snippets and internet hot takes.
Do some research, Sneezy.

This ain’t apples and oranges. It’s like comparing apples and rocks. When a program is on the rise how does it compare to a guy who had the Hesiman trophy winner and still tied for 2nd in the SEC west? And his win total never reached double digits again. Vitello has a chance to win 60 games and has already taken the Vols the farthest in history.

I like his demeanor better than Van Horn. Vitello would fire up his players by jumping on the umpires.
Van Horn would quietly walk up to an empire, say a few words and walk quietly back to the dugout. It wasn't like that when he was younger.
One coach is rising and the other is fading fast.

Well, we are playing for a baseball natty now. How much will this hurt 'our culture' that is clearly not very strong?

He has clearly shifted away from the style that made the 2022 team so hated. Tony V is a great coach and appears to be smart enough to change things that don’t work.
He’s going to win for a long time.
Tony has obvious passion for the game. 2 years ago, he let that passion get away from him, the low point being when he bumped the ump and was ejected. The team adopted that persona (maybe he adopted Tennessee's?), and let the emotional roller coaster overwhelm the talent.
Since then, he has been more restrained, and focused the team on playing baseball and not the look-at-me antics.
Passion, properly channeled, is a great quality in a coach.
Now, about that shade of orange ...

Op, we don't need to be talking shite to the people. They aren't tu, lswho or florida.

Vitello has toned down the antics this year. Somebody must have spoken to him about it privately.
