Tuberville is the better coach, but I'd be interested to see how he'd perform at Auburn now that Bama isn't mediocre. People thought Pat Dye was brilliant until Stallings got to Bama.

He would actually have to recruit

TT. If he had the talent Gus and Chizik had/has Auburn would have won multiple NCs under him. Problem is he put most of his efforts into finding diamonds in the rough than going after the top players.

Tubs without a doubt, but I am glad he resigned to spend a year with his family because he was not focused enough his last year. (Note: I know his 80 year old mother said he was fired, but he said he resigned, he son played at Auburn and he has been seen in Auburn gear)
when you "resign" at a school like Auburn you aren't quitting b/c you want to.
it's simply sugar coating that you were indeed fired.

Call it what you want, but he resigned and was paid his buyout because an AU Booster violated his contract by reaching out to another coaching candidate.

Seriously now, he was fired.
Literally the only reason people are allowed to resign is to let them save some face instead of having to be publicly shite canned.
It happens at major companies all the time. CEO Joe Blow fricks up, tanks the company, and instead of getting "fired" he "resigns" and skips away w/his golden parachute.
