no, it would be like saying a tall receiver is a matchup problem with TM, thus could be the weak link in a particular game...

Sort of like Robert Smith saying that the Bama DL is better than the LSU DL?
Yeah, sort of like that. Our DL isn't really built to cause pressure. It's built to stalemate the line and have the linebackers come in and make the plays.

I am shocked the Luginbill made such a statement because we all know he is a Bama GUMP. I lost a lot of respect for him after watching The Experts on ESPN.
He's a graduate of Georgia Tech and his wife and her family are Auburn graduates. He is no "gump" and has proven it quite consistently over the last 3 years.

Logic tells us that ... of course, at times the "experts" don't use logic. Especially on ESPN.

Moron. Dude's been a stud since he got on campus.

We all have to stop listening to these idiots. They get paid to talk when they have absolutely nothing to say based on any reasoning whatsoever. They don't keep up with our teams any better than we do. They just decide what to say right before they go on air. Everything I have seen rates Barrett Jones as the anchor and leader and NFL talent.

Bama has 99% of all Media absolutely kissing the arse of all things Bama.....EVERYTHING! Yet Bama fans feel butt-hurt over the 1% comments that do not completely kiss their arse. GTFO! LSU fans have to listen to more BAMA suckfest and how we are weaker at everything but punting.
I know, in your little world NO ONE should ever have an opinion that is not aligned with BAMA f%$# nation and your OVERHYPED PROPOGANDA MACHINE.
You might not make it to Saturday. Try actually reading what people in this thread are saying. It's not what you think.

Can't really put a whole lot of stock in what these "experts" say. They obviously don't do their research half the time and just blurt out statements to tick people off. If this is the plan then I guess it works but I prefer people who know what they are talking about and this statement is ridiculous.
This is true. They keep saying that Lee has been an interception machine until this year, when in fact it was only his freshman year. Over the last 3 years..he has averaged less than 1 pick per 75 throws. Heaven forbid the "experts" do any research.

As far as coverage is concerned, TM7 may actually be the weak link

I can see the argument with Fluker. Not with Barrett.
Agreed. It should be pointed out that 'Bama did not face Montgomery a year ago(injury). He will be a strong test for Barrett.

Funny thing is, from a coverage standpoint, man on man, he might well be. He's a little playmaker but he gets beat more than the Rant will allow people to talk about.
he's still the best player on the D, though.

Best playmaker, but not necessarily the best player.

Well, Mo Claiborne might be the best player, now that I give it some thought.

That's a pretty dumb statement. But to be completely honest.. most of Barrett Jones value comes from the fact that he can play every position on the line. He's most valuable on the interior of the line, though.

I knew I could get them started LOL

I agree with Luginbill. Jones is a great OL but a pretty average LT IMO.
