The last time Ole Miss played Texas in 2014, Ole Miss won 44-23.

The last time LSU played Texas in 2003, you got your arse kicked 35-20 "big boy".

WTF does that have to do with Texas playing LSU in 2019? I mean every coach in the country has lost games he shouldn't. It doesn't mean you're incapable to get your team up for the big games. Herman has a history of getting up for the big ones then losing clunkers. UGA/FSU/OU (once last year with Texas and with UH), L'ville

Yes, what does it all mean? Some games Herman had less talent and won, some games Herman had more talent and lost. Some games were early season, some games were end of season. Difficult to say why. Not to mention the opponents’ motivation/mindset also comes into play. Each game of each season is different.

I'm more worried about them screwing up against Louisiana Tech than I am them playing a bad game against LSU.

Yep, you never know. I’m sure Texas will be highly motivated and focused for the LSU game.

But back to the quote - if it’s real, then it reinforces the characterization of Herman being a douche.

Like LSU won’t be.

Texas is soft. LSU is going to destroy them, just like Miami last season.

Talent might be similar, but the returning production is much different. Texas returns less than half its starters. Only 3 on defense.

Sounds like a quote from almost any coach at the end of a tiresome press conference who's just been asked for the hundredth time about how his team stacks up against an opponent.

I think Miami was a way bigger pretender last year than Texas is this year. I don't think either are national title contenders, but I do think Texas stays in the top 15-20 this year while Miami was god awful last year

Most of the advanced metrics say Texas is a pretty big pretender this year and due for regression. But, that's why they play the games. So, we shall see.

Texas' game against Georgia sure has a lot of people with short memories. This was a 4 loss team with losses to the likes of unranked Maryland and Okie State. And single possession wins versus Tulsa, KSU, Baylor, Tech, and Kansas ( )

Apparently the football world thinks Ehlinger is the second coming of Mike Vick.
