I'm a tad too young to truly remember in detail what Tennessee fans were like in the 90's when you were actually good,
It's because the internet didn't exist. This is really the first time in post modern history that Tennessee has ever been in the spotlight in football.

It’s true Tennessee is mostly 3 stars going up against 4 and 5 stars. Should be a good game. Ga has the best Defense Tennessee has1 of the best offense’s. Good luck and go Vols!!

Game of tCentury
These games are the norm in the SEC. This isn’t the “game of the century” hell it barely has the game of the week feel to it.
Tennessee has been irrelevant for so long it just feels a lot bigger to you guys.

Lol what a stupid post. #1 vs #2 has only happened 24 times in the regular season since the AP poll became a thing in 1936. And only twice has it featured two schools from the SEC
CFP #1 vs AP #1 has literally never happened before in the regular season

Then my uncle Lou explained it to me.
Uncle Lou can also explain how to take backroads home from the bar to avoid sobriety checkpoints and minimize the likelihood of encountering passing officers.
It doesn't mean he's right, though.

The orange faithful's first game as #1 in what seems like 100 years. They are cute, though, aren't they?

No, he can't. He obviously has no idea how to do either of those things.

Why are we even playing the game? You'd think the Dawgs were Vandy based on the unhinged ravings of Tennessee fans who think their team is invincible.

UGA wins 42-28.
I have been listening to a ton of talk this week, and will just say that I have heard no one give the UGA offense the time of day. The GA defense will get beat some by Tenn offense, but UT will not stop the UGA offense, not on the road. Because they don't always play a nouveau style of offense, its stars are TEs, and very few people other than UGA fans have actually watched the whole games so far, people have simply not realized how fantastically versatile the offense is and that it can beat a defense in just about every way. They scored on a two minute drill to end the first half against UF and then took 7 minutes off the clock on a scoring drive at the end of the 4th quarter.
I think Monken has been experimenting through the first half of the season, and now that the meat of the schedule is here and the road to the championship game is starting its climb, he has this offense humming along.

There's only been 1 or 2 games of the century. This ain't it.

To be fair, a similar amount of bets & money were also placed on VOLS for TSIO and the line actually got bigger in favor of Bama iirc
Yep. It's what happens when you have a team that is by its very nature an outlier. Past data is the bread and butter of algorithms and that is gonna be a 3 win season and a 7 win season.
