Saw it yesterday. As a critic said to me, "It's an Irish film; take it for what it's worth". Set in the early 1900s, so that might make it a bit more understandable/palatable, though I enjoyed it a bit. Doesn't look like they spent more than a couple of million on it, so it's sparse in setting.

Solid. Probably 8/10, maybe a touch higher. The writer/journalist is from Italy and used to be in investigative reporter into local mafia, according to Wiki. Adds a certain flair to it, I guess. And it's a mini-series, essentially.
