It wasn't an excuse. It was a fact in the case. It still wasn't a good look. But I'm sorry that enough time hadn't passed for you to mention it without everyone else remembering that Ole Miss continued to recruit him hard and melted down when he didn't sign there. I understand this is a triggering event for you. Maybe you will take this opportunity to learn something and show some personal growth in the process.

I think the reason we didn't get a whole lot of shite about Simmons was everyone knew he was a first round talent and none of them would have dropped him either.

Helped that he did it before he was officially a student too.

I still don’t know if that’s worse than Ole Miss signing a guy that was kicked off Florida’s team for using a dead college student’s credit card. Imagine losing your daughter in a vehicle accident and then finding out someone was using her credit card to buy gas. Then imagine another college knowing this and still thinking he’s a good representative for their university.

It happened in March. He had already signed with state by then.

There was no recruiting when he did that. He beat the woman as an MSU signee.
