For LSU I know most will say 2019 but 2003 was my favorite. At that point a National Title seemed like it could only be won by the Florida State's, Miami's, Nebraska's, Oklahoma's, Ohio States of the world. Growing up in the 1990s it just seemed like something unattainable for LSU. SEC SEC SEC wasn't really a thing. That team just came out of nowhere. Nothing like climbing the mountain the first time.

Curious to hear what schools like Vanderbilt and South Carolina have to say on the topic? Aggies need not comment.

‘03 football made me ecstatic for a long time, but ‘19 still gives me a chub. ‘Twas the highlight of an already great year for me.

06 Gators. Nobody gave us a chance against the Suckeyes and Troy Smith but we absolutely obliterated them. Kicked Georgia’s arse on a way too so that’s always good

Man y'all deserved it but I would have loved to see LSU-Florida in Atlanta in a rematch in 06. We got fricked against Auburn and choked in the Swamp when Jamarcus fumbled inside the 5 in a great defensive game from the Gators. Florida and LSU were the 2 best teams in America in 2006 as Ohio State and Notre Dame found out. Cheers baw.

2014 baseball was amazing. I cried like a baby. 2019 baseball was a lot of fun but not quite the same.

Probably 1996 was the most impactful because it was sort of a Kirk Gibson Dodgers dramatic event:

quote:

The championship game ended dramatically when LSU's Warren Morris hit a two-out, two-run home run against Miami reliever Robbie Morrison in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Bayou Bengals to a 9-8 victory over the Hurricanes.

Probably the 2020 national title. All SEC schedule and was a fun team to watch.

I was 6 for Warren's walk off. I remember but didn't understand the significance. My favorite LSU baseball memory was Cresse in 2000 the year of my first LSU baseball camp. Amazing team. To those a little older than me 1996 baseball may trump any football title.

'96 baseball - Warren Morris 2 out bottom of the 9th homer to beat Miami

'03 football - my dad always talked about the '58 team and then finally getting to experience it, wish he was there to see it, passed a couple of years before...

Our 2000 run through red October. No one was giving us a chance against FSU and our defense came out and dominated.
