I have been to every stadium in the SEC multiple times throughout my life. Your fans are always great to hang out with, whether in Athens or Baton Rouge. Mark Richt is a class act and seems like a great guy in interviews, just a very pleasant person and runs a strong program. Here's to a great game on Saturday!

this doesn't change the fact that I hope we impale that tiger arse on a pole in the middle of Centennial Park for the whole world to see, but everything about the town and the fans I feel toward LSU. Win or lose, I won't walk away from the Dome disappointed. No shame in losing to my #2 team

i'll second that. i had much more trouble with the older crazy dawg fans than the students and younger bunch. all around, athens kicks major arse and the fans are passionate yet nice. i hope our fans are recognized the same way

Thanks, most of Dawg fans on here would say LSU is our second favorite SEC team. Always impressed by the passion of LSU's fanbase (and the Golden Girls).

Can't wait to head to the Dome on Saturday and as DGD said won't be hanging my head either way.

Same here and having lived in the ATL for 17 years I can tell you that the state of Georgia, it's people, it's schools and it's fans are good folks. I've raised two daughters in this state and am proud to say I honestly love it here. It ain't home, but it's pretty damn good.

Looking forward to a Tiger victory on Saturday. Times like now make it extra special to be a Tiger fan!!

I always enjoyed it when LSU came to town. Great fans that are a good mixture of passionate and just a little crazy made for some good fun.

I've never been to Athens, but have thoroughly enjoyed my stops in Atlanta. Except for this week, I would probably call UGA the school I hate the least in the SEC (besides Vandy).

My first ever away game was Georgia/LSU back in the mid eighties. It was the season opener, and my first day game too. The Dawg fans were extremely cool, and fun to party with. Drinking whiskey at 8 in the morning and then sitting in the sweltering Georgia sun at mid day while the dawgs beat the living shite out of my tigers was a new level of misery for me. But I left the game, got some Tylenol, rehydrated, and went out to a local bar full of dawg fans. I wore my purple and gold and everyone I met was very cool and offered to buy me a drink.

Good luck this weekend, but

My first LSU fan experience was in 04 during my freshman year at uga. Walking back from class to the dorm late Friday afternoon before our game and what do I see? A group of LSU fans all set up tailgating around a keg at 4 in the afternoon the day before the game. That was when I realized...jeeze these frickers don't play around.
