Losing the 2013 national championship in the last 13 seconds in football and getting screwed out of national championship appearance in basketball this year felt slightly more devastating than AU dropping a fly ball over the fence to send UF to Omaha last year. Love college baseball but it is definitely a distant 3rd for me.

Alabama has won 11 national titles in the last 10 years. While football is #1 (and it is at every other SEC not named Kentucky) it would be wrong to think that Alabama fans do not care about other sports. Alabama has been to the finals of the CWS, and is still trying to find the correct combination for the basketball final four.
That said, the fact that Alabama has won 5 football national titles (and most likely will add to that very soon) is not a bad position to be.
Also the fact that Alabama has won more national titles in the big three in the last 4 years than the entire SEC put together helps....

Alabama has baseball history, one of the best in the SEC. However baseball takes SOOOOO long to play. I have been known to go grocery shopping and then go to a movie and still be able to watch the start of the game before I leave, and the end of the game when I get home without recording it.

Is it just not fun to have something during the football off-season? Like that off-season is way too long to not have a fun sport to follow. Glad schools like Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, and MSU care. Nice to see schools like UGA and Auburn build up fans as well. But none of us will ever live up to the Omavols.
