He seemed like the only offense they had last night. They have good running backs but that offensive line played terrible.

The #3 kid has some juice. OL & backs looked rough.

He was our only WR last year. Our WR corps is actually much better than last year. If we didn't have Pearsall last year ... man.

OL looked bad, no question. So did DL in the first half.
We have very good backs. But if the oline sucks it won't matter.

I think the RB's had 10 total carries towards the end of the game last night. Call me crazy, but it would probably help if they actually tried to run them.

I didnt really understand making Pearsall out to be like Top 5 pick last night, he's a good player but he shouldnt be the primary focus of your offense for an entire half. There's a reason he's back in college for a 5th year, if he was an all-pro level player he'd be in the NFL right now.
It was just way too predictable, especially with all the short passes in general. You HAVE to at least try and the run the football but they put the game on the arm of Mertz and a ton of predictable pass plays. It made no sense.

Which number 3? They have multiple, some times even on the field at the same time.

Just put 11 bodies on the field.

They used the tight end a few times too. So maybe One guy to watch and another to side eye.

Ha! That’s right. The freshman receiver.

No shite.
Coming out with Graham Mertz and a sub-part WR corps is not the bold strategy I would have chosen, even if Mertz ended up doing alright.

Well, he was our leading receiver last year. Is he a 1st round WR? Hell no. Is he all we had last year? Pretty much. Marcus Burke and Caleb Douglas looked really good last night. Both are sophs so hopefully they start getting more targets as the season goes on.

Yeah, that was really good to see. We haven't had that since Kyle Pitts took his services to the pros.

A very good back wound have still broken off a nice run or two even behind a bad line. I didn't see anything.
