Johnny Manziel has been playing great and recruits will be huge... Wouldn't be surprised if we win out next season

I understand your excitement. I think, however, you're missing a component to this equation.

You're not gonna like the second year. Perhaps aggies move up a spot to second in the West, but it will take great effort.
It'll likely be a sophomore slump for the team as a whole. But maybe... If Sumlin continues the work out extra mantra that the team bought into preseason, sure. But if they consider 5th in the SEC their laurels...it'll be rough to see them rest upon those laurels

I agree I don't think the Aggies are that far away from an NC. I don't think it will be next year.

You have Bama early in the season.....Saban and Kirby will have all offseason to dial-up a gameplan for JFF.....Bama is pretty good at revenge games.....ask LSU or Tebow

We need a secondary and some overall depth on defense. Headed in the right direction, but MNC talk is a bit ridiculous at this point.

Luckily, we haven't had many of them. But yeah, I like our chances. Bama only has 8 recruited Senior scholarship players.

Recruiting will get a bump for sure. I was at a playoff game in Texas the other night, and one of the big defensive recruits said he was swapping from Tennessee to TAMU.
But that won't translate into undefeated next year.

To be fair, A&M's non conference schedule might be the worst in the country and they get 2 of the weaker teams from the East Division.
Their only tough road game will be LSU.

Well being that everyone in the SEC was so right about our first year, why wouldn't we believe them regarding the next.....
