He'll go to the combine and still get drafted before the 3rd round.

Are you Mel Kiper's son?

This, yes. He's an awesome pass rusher and special teams player, but you guys better keep the kid off of man coverage.

fricking hate Kiper.

I love TM7 as a college CB. He reminds me a lot of Janoris before he got the boot. However, Janoris had better straight line speed, and was good enough to put on an island against the AJ Green's/Julio Jones type WR's. TM7 is great, as a Nickel back. I may be wrong, but we will see how he does in the NFL.

It's amazing how butthurt most non-LSU fans are about Mathieu. They all know deep down that he's the most explosive defensive player in the nation and they wish he was on their team but since he isn't they blow his faults WAY out of proportion.

This kid went from a great role player to a kid who screams bust. McElwain was a genius for looking past the hype and realizing the biggest name on LSU's defense was actually the weakest link. Others will follow suit next year and Wilson, McCarron, Price and Shaw will bully him around until he is forced to return to his rightful position as a situational role player.

All over 4 catches in one game???

Do you think that AFTER he was exposed in man to man routes and fade passes?

Or are you just high-functioning?

He was clearly picked on. Alabama set a target on the matchups.

Those called plays against his coverage worked.

Why are you so defensive?

Bama completed 4, let me say it again FOUR, passes over Mathieu for 0, yes thats right a total of ZERO, touchdowns. I'll take that every day of the week to be honest.

I think it's safe to say he's the most scrutinized DB in the country. I mean, you probably remember every catch that he gave up last year. Get off his nuts bro.

At least you stopped defending some of his poor play

He is a good player, he has a knack for making huge plays, but I lost all the respect I had for him when he clothes lined DreKirk from behind on that kickoff. Was one of the dirtiest pays I saw in college football last season.

This is what they don't get. He was only a sophomore. I bet every single DB in the last 30 years that started as a true sophomore had at least one game with 4+ passes completed against him. It's ridiculous.
