Don't understand your answer. So, you wanted Elko, and are glad you didn't get him?

Me and a large contingent of OM fans wanted Mike Leach after Freeze and we got Matt Luke.

Right, but I think most of us still would have been overall pleased with that. No one thought we’d ultimately make the best hire in the history of our school.

Idk, I think his failure at Nebraska has a lot to do with it being Nebraska. It just isn’t capable of what 99% of teams in the south are capable of.

understood why Shula was fired, but I wouldn't have been upset if he had been given another year. I always felt like he knowingly stepped in a pile of shite and did his best to shovel it out.

Shula was awful and he DID not do his best. He worked a 9-5 schedule and said family was more important than football. That’s fine if you’re in a normal occupation but not the head coach at a major college football program.
He was a lazy, lazy recruiter. A 10-2 record was tops for that staff.

I wanted Jimbo after Les was fired because I thought he was the safe choice having coached here before. Never was impressed with Herman.

If Jimbo was here I doubt we get Burrow or Brady and 2019 never happens.

Mike Norvell. You can say the jury is still out, but i doubt he accomplishes anything at a powerhouse school.

Awful take. Another year under Shula would’ve set Alabama back another decade. Think about that that 2008 in state class going to AU and LSU. Saban goes elsewhere. Shula was lazy and did nothing to deserve another year.

Justin Fuente.

I thought he was a can't miss with what he did at Memphis. I still think he's probably a good coach, but just got the wrong job. Va Tech had just played above their heads for a long time under Beamer and have regressed to the mean. People forget that they used to be such a bad program before him.

I wish we would have let LSU pay Fisher a billion dollars like they wanted

This is one LSU fan that never wanted Jimbo back after he left LSU.

I'm not sold on him being a bad coach. Everyone has failed there after Mack Brown. He needs to work himself back into the mix and take a smaller HC job or a prominent OC job.

There were a ton of guys just like him that wanted to give Shula another year because they felt like he did the program a favor. He was a lazy, shitty, undisciplined coach. He did nothing for us except take a paycheck. There are a million other former players that would’ve done a better job with no coaching experience than that spoiled lazy shite did.

Herman has the same issue as Sark except he likes to mix his booze with coke. I doubt he’s redeemable.

Nah, as a SC fan, this was a miss. If Carolina hires Herman after 2015 instead of Muschamp, the program is much healthier overall.

Honestly, this list is more regret for what didn't happen.
