Saban doesn't give a shite about weed. As long as it doesn't affect discipline.

Nick Saban doesn't give a shite about DUIs, either.

You don't remember Geno Smith? 2 DUIs, yet never missed a single snap? Didn't even get kicked off?

Well our new attorney general from dear old Alabama stated in April "no good people use marijuana". It's definitely not accepted nationally when we now have an ignorant Gump in the White House.

i honestly can't......i don't remember what the circumstances were

Look- Saban is a pretty liberal guy and when it comes to weed. Came up in the 60's, spent a lot years in the NFL etc. What he won't tolerate is a slacker/weed culture taking hold in the locker room and affecting discipline.

I think the narrative that Saban isn't a disciplinarian just isn't true as you can point to multiple instances where guys have paid a price for screwing up.

Like DJ Hall's reduced suspension after being tied at halftime against Louisiana Monroe?

shite happens. Attending Bama and being unapologetically objective isn't the best combination on that board.

Well they got it wrong. Saban never said it and Hall was dressed out.

The SID got it wrong. It was never a full game suspension.

Right...

That year was my freshman year and I was at that game. It was reported and highly believed amongst the whole fanbase that he would be suspended the whole game. It was also believed that Bama wouldn't need DJ Hall as they were playing lowly La Monroe. So dont kid yourself. If Bama was up by two touchdowns at halftime, and DJ wasn't needed, the whole game suspension would've never been lifted.
