I do not trust the author of the story and have seen nothing from OU to confirm it but thought I would share it anyway.

I get he lost his position, but it was one game.
Injuries (God forbid) do happen. And, a defense that has prepped all week for a QB1 and coaches that have looked extensively at their film play extraordinarily different than they do against a backup. The other kid seems talented, but that could easily have been a one off.
OU will be in a hurt locker if they have to drop down to their #3 QB to the start the season for some reason.

I had the same thought. If Rattler really has left OU, Ole Miss would be a great spot for him.

There was an article out that listed Tennessee and Kentucky as landing spots in the SEC, that would be assuming that he forgoes the draft to get better tape out

I think Ole Miss will have 5-10 new veteran starters from the transfer portal. Including a quarterback. Rattler fits the bill.

Rattler can run, so UK would make another interesting landing spot for Rattler.

It is hard to imagine Rattler doing better under another coach than Lincoln Riley but Kiffin might be the exception. Some times a change of scenery is best for all parties.

His Dad Michael is a life long Hog fan and graduate. He is quoted as saying Chad screwed up not "doing his research". (Real truth is Chaggy just wanted his son and nobody else at QB).
All that said, Spencer Rattler is a grade A bitch. But, nobody should be shocked that a guy named Rattler is a snake, I guess
