I like the spartan look and feel of tiger stadium and i hope they don't try to froo froo it up too much like one of these faggy stadiums you see around the conference.

yeah, I would rather the pavers be some shade of grey than that tan shite

If the pavers are similar to the ones elsewhere on campus, they are a shade of red, not tan.

Looks gay IMO. Replace all the windows and tear out those shitty AC units from the 70's first and foremost.

Meh
I'll be more excited when we close in the south endzone
Talk about deafening..We're louder than every SEC stadium now and we're not even the largest venue

They only did it for a portion of the stadium. Have you seen the East side of the stadium? It looks like shite.

Everyone looks so sober in those pics.

really? I didn't notice that

Yeah the project was for the northern portion of the stadium. They're removing and replacing all the bleachers on the south side of the stadium now fwiw.

Yep. Take what was once an imposing looking concrete behemoth, and transfer it into some sort of dull suburban looking lifestyle center.
Brilliant.

It's more just everyone jumping on the same silly trends.
BDS was formerly a very nondescript place and needed something to make it stand out. That's not really the slam you may think, it just is what it is, as Bama really had little incentive to have a huge oncampus stadium until relatively recently, playing most big games in Birmingham historically.
Tiger Stadium has been a grand imposing structure since the 30s, with great inherent architectural details.
It saddens me to see them feeling to need to jump on this "latest craze" type stuff, rather than keeping it in line with what it's been. Doesn't mean it can't improve along those lines.

Y.A. you and I are right there.
Fix all the windows, maybe clean the concrete exterior and seal it to prevent moisture seepage. Lights? Ok, those help. But to cover it all over with this meaningless "exterior skin" or other crap that hides what has been consistent since 1926/1936? Give it a rest, already.

+1. the horseshoe stadium architecture is timeless in its style that matches the Italian Renaissance architecture of the original buildings of the campus. Beautiful. This new style is much like Middleton. Groovy at the time that quickly becomes an abomination.

Its an artist rendering, I believe those bricks are already there on the stadium club. Actually it has been there for years.
