Looks like Jay Graham will be hired to coach special teams if this happens. Both are excellent hires. BAMA has really cleaned up this off-season. We've probably put together a better coaching staff than the one we had in 2020. Saban is amazing, and the train keeps rolling along.

The question is how many former coaches that worked with him before are there that Orgeron can hire? Nobody else would take the position

Little late but...
I’m glad Nick Saban has finally shed that rough tough mentality and started acquiring the more cerebral types. The sports science types instead of the phys ed teachers. Were the bane of our program since about 2017.

Obviously coach Saban is happy with the progression of our current defensive coordinator or we'd have a new one. Frankly, the fans should be too. We were so much better by the end of the season than we were at the beginning. It was night and day. We also held OSU to their lowest total yardage output since 2017 in the NCG.

From all accounts (players, fans, HS coaches), Gillespie was loved at UNC and I think he’ll do great at Bama.
Looks like we’re likely adding Larry Porter to replace him. Good hire and I totally trust Mack on all staffing decisions, except that time he tried to hire Greg Robinson as UNC DC.
