I wouldn’t say that. But being behind on the road we definitely had uncharacteristic at bats for those last three outs of the inning. Tommy swung first pitch changeup low and basically cost himself the next pitch by showing he was willing to offer at the one before… then Jonah swinging early (freshman and back in the lineup jitters) followed by Mendoza of all people swinging at the first pitch and rolling over to short.
Looks like we were trying to force an answer back instead of playing what’s worked all season.
