We need 2/3 against Florida in the worse way but it's going to be extremely tough.

Baseball is so unpredictable, but I am guessing SC takes 2 of 3 from us. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

Our closer is suspended for the whole series.

if things weren't alreayd bad enough with how shitty we are, our typical Friday starter is out this weekend. So our already laughably horrendous pitching staff is now going to be somehow even worse than their usual.

Counterintuitively, that probably guarantees you at least one win against Arkansas this weekend

Well y'all found a gem in Goldstein. That guy had us off kilter all day.

That's pretty much a crock of crap for the reason he was suspended.

Yeah SEC umpiring appears to be considerably worse than other conferences, though I've only watched a handful of ACC games and Big 12 games. No consistency at all.

LSU has a hitter drop multiple F-bombs at Kentucky's pitcher for quick-pitching him before a 450ft bomb, and he barely got a warning, meanwhile a day later, Florida's closer does what literally every pitcher does after he has a big moment, and gets tossed immediately.

Very intrigued by the Florida-SC series. I think UF is really good but they had a super soft front half of the SEC schedule so it’s hard to know for sure. This feels like Carolina’s best team in a while but these are the kind of series you need to win at home if you have Top 8 aspirations.

I don't disagree with your point, but I think there is no schedule in the SEC that is super soft. Ours has been less difficult though.

So has ours though, until the last two weekends. In those games we went 2-3 which isnt really that impressive.

It's not that impressive until you think that those games may have been against the best 2 teams in the country.

I just have zero doubts that UF would not have done the same, maybe better.

now I guess if we hold on to game 2 against LSU, maybe I sing a different tune

I think South Carolina takes 2/3 in a good bounce back spot from last weekend. Losing 2/3 at Vandy is nothing to be ashamed of. I’m a big fan of this South Carolina team. Having said that, i think by the end of the regular season and postseason no one is gonna want to face florida because the pitching will come around. Gonna be a fun series

Same could be said about LSU if they get guys back from injury. With a little more solid pitching those 2/3's become sweeps.

If SC can get a few guys back from injury like McGillis (who hasnt played for a month but has 10 HR's) then I think we can shore up some hitting issues.

arkansas is just quietly doing their thing. SC/LSU/Vandy/UF get most the talk, but I havent watched an arkansas game. Where are the weaknesses for them? I know LSU got 2/3 but thats a road series for woo pig. thats not a bad result

Our weaknesses are 8 and 9 at bat and defense at 6.

And injuries. I dont believe our top power threat will be back this year. Maybe for regional. Broke thumb in misweek game sliding into 3rd.

I tend to agree, but don't stare the guy down. If you want to yell let's go at the top of your lungs, then look into your dugout at the players you are trying to fire up.

I know, I know, get off my lawn.

I think the 4 game rule is a excessive.
