I can't blame Keys for not being able to guard one of the best TEs in the SEC. They did a good job of scheming that up unfortunately. Baker has to send a blitz here and there on 3rd down
We created the situation of us being underdogs. To me it's always bad to lose to Vandy, it's even worse that we've gotten to a point where we're expected to lose to Vandy according to the sportsbooks.
That’s why I’m willing to give the team this weekend to show some different things, but maybe hearing “we’ve identified some things we were inefficient in doing, and we feel confident in our ability to adjust” would’ve been refreshing. I’ll still reserve some hope to see som changes Saturday
I’m sort of disappointed in hearing “we have to just execute better” over and over without any real changes. It’s clear the offense is not performing well. Why not change things up? I’m willing to give the offense an opportunity Saturday to show some different things to see if it’s just coach speak, but I was hoping to hear some things might change considering how bad the offense has been.
No way…lots of reports saying he’s alive. Where’s your source?
Sniped from 200 yards away apparently
Looked like a cramp to me. We need Delane. He's been a stud so far
The last play was literally thrown to a wr Anderson. What're you watching?
Not saying I thought he'd be gone in round 3, but I was going to be a lot more surprised than some if he came back. Batting .330 or so this year and showed a lot of his power we knew he had. He would've lost all leverage if he came back for another season. Good for Frey
Yet we're winning. Relax people. We're playing a future 1st rounder as well with the wind blowing in
Jay completely outcoached DVH pinch hitting Jake Brown. Seems crazy to say but DVH walked Pearson because he wanted to face Stanfield for the righty/righty advantage. He wasn't expecting Jay to go to pull Stanfield at all because I'm not sure Stanfield has been pinch hit for at all this year outside of a couple times. Coaching is key, also helps when the piggies choke :geauxtigers:

Good start by Cowan. If you told me pregame he'd go 4 innings and give up 1 run, I'd be happy. Now lets go get him some runs :geauxtigers:

4.54 ERA isn't terrible in today's day and age of college baseball. Especially in a big park. Kid has just pitched well
Shut em down Cowan! One of the few guys available that can give us 5-6 innings. This is the chance to have a Caleb Gilbert or Nate Ackenhausen moment. I believe

Maybe Milam is worse against lefties or they like the lefties stuff against him. Also Milam drilled a single off that guy last time. They don’t want to face him twice. I’m sure they know Milam is a switch hitter…

You don’t change the whole day because of a forecast 7 hours in advance. There’s also TV deals in place, they aren’t changing the schedule for a chance of rain 2 hours into gametime. The storm was supposed to get there at 8 and got there 40 minutes early. Sucks for LSU but i can’t blame the NCAA here as terrible as they usually are

re: Start Evans Tomorrow

If you lose with Evans tomorrow, you’re in bad shape having to go against Root and Arkansas without any of the top 3. I’d personally try to go Williams, a few guys to get an inning at a time, and then Evans to finish if we hold the lead. If you burn Evans in a losing effort, that kill our chances. I’d personally not risk it. I trust in Jay either way
I'm not saying Cowan is a good option. But in a pitchers park against a team that makes a lot of contact anyway, would it hurt Cowan much? He isn't a strikeout pitcher. Feels like it might would hurt the strikeout pitchers more. I'd personally go Williams though
