Can't ding them too much. Still the first game. They looked stout Q1 but then sucked.
If this continues then they will loose a couple.

It was 2 bad passes from being 44-7. First game vs a pretty decent defense.

You may want to ease up on the SOS humor. Aggies schedules are still available on the web. Just an FYI. Just because you finally schedule ASU (a power 5 school) doesn't erase the consecutive years of Rice, Lamar, SMU, SHSU, and La Tech.
Umm. Tomorrow we play #15 ASU.
We also play teams ranked 18, 17, 14, 6, and 3.
Go check our SOS for the past 3 years.
Or did you think SOS only applies to OOC?

Remember, were talking about a team that is (allegedly) a playoff contender. And, they did not look so hot verse unranked Minn. which, granted, is the toughest opponent they will face for 2 1/2 fricking months.
I would just delete my post if I were you.

That's bold but they did look good last night. That division isn't unwinnable by any means.

i see Miss St. beating them if we played them

Their division is a joke. If they get any kind of QB play they will be in the conference championship.

Before it's all said and done they could end up as good as last year's team....which was pretty darn good.

They looked very beatable

People only think the SEC West is better than the Big Ten West because of SEC Bias on ESPN, don't you know that?

It's a 3 star army that is INCREDIBLY well coached that had a bad game. It's not any more complicated than that.

Oh wow. And when did your "overall" SOS suddenly get stronger? When you joined the SEC? Oh ok.
You were playing the same Big 12 foes as TCU and then adding Rice, Lamar, and SHSU to the mix as your OOC.
Don't act as if you were killing it with your OOC along with your Big 12 slate.
You didn't want the SECW SOS, but you were trying to run from Texas' boot so bad that you were willing to roll the dice and take the risk.

They won't make the playoff,IMO.

is it just me or did their D look small as shite?
They play pretty sound technique and assignment football though. Always has been one of their strengths.
The Big12 isn't all that difficult, but they are more than capable of dropping a game or two.

With Minnesota, hard to tell. Patterson and Kill are good friends IRL and so they know each others' tendencies.
It looks as if you can run on them. OU has Perine who holds the single-game rushing record.

Why do you keep referencing a snapshot of OOC opponents during a logistically-challenging, two-year timespan of assembling whomever we could after our SEC move?
You're incorrect, btw.
Not sure if it's intentional, or if you're misinformed (nor why it seemingly bugs you so much); but apart from maybe one or two years of our BXII membership, I can't recall a year when we didn't have at least one solid, OOC opponent on the schedule.
2011: Arkansas (#18)
2010: Arkansas
2009: Arkansas, New Mexico, Utah State
2008: Miami (Fla.), Army, New Mexico
2007: Miami (Fla.), Fresno State
2006: Army, Louisiana Tech
2005: Clemson
2004: Clemson, Utah (#19)
2003: Virginia Tech (#8), Pittsburgh (#17), Utah
2002: Virginia Tech (#7), Puttsburgh
2001: Notre Dame, Wyoming
2000: Notre Dame, Wyoming, UTEP

I know they're not an SEC team
So why discuss them on tRant? MSB seems more fitting place to discuss this?

What do you see from them here on out
Don't care, they will have their day in the sun and return to obscurity in the next 5 - 10 years.

I watched the game and TCU didn't look great, but also think Minn played really well. They will have a great year. TCUs offense will get it going and Patterson always gets his D together regardless of talent or experience.
Georgia Tech- this is Paul Johnson's best team and they've been overlooked all off season. I think they win the ACC and make the playoffs.
