This is gonna be interesting.

He's a great D coach imo. See if he can lead a big time program

Great DC and great recruiter.

So they'll always have talent and a solid defense.

I think its a pretty safe play.

Have these last couple UT coaches failed to bring in talent?

You just never know. Dabo had never even been a coordinator and was about five years removed from working in real estate when he became Clemson's head coach.

I thought that too. So he's never been a head coach, not even in high school?

Wow. Evidently the inmates are running the asylum in Knoxville.

Propst was the HC at Hoover. Btw, this guy was considered at Bama but got rejected by Saban because of an affair.

Butch was pretty consistently in the top 20

which isn't great in comparison to much of the conference

2014 - 7th ranked recruiting class

2015 - 4th ranked recruiting class

2016 - 14th ranked recruiting class

I doubt you respond to this.

The “just a high school coach with no experience joke” applies more to Pruitt than Malzahn.

I'll say this about Butch, he left us in a better situation than when he got to campus(at least as far as the roster is concerned). He recruited well(at least according to all the recruiting services). He just couldn't do anything with it once the lights came on each Saturday. We definitely have areas that are especially weak and will need some bolstering though(OL, 2ndary).

That 2015 class was very good, but the 2016 class was still ranked 7th in the SEC and the 2014 class was helped just due to the shear size (32) of the class.

Why would he not respond to that? It's not great relative to the conference as he said. Add that to having Butch Jones as head coach and you arent going to have much success.

A 3 year average of the #8 ranked class isn't great in relation to the conference? Please, list the teams who recruited better.

I understand that.

They have talent now.

They've HAD talent.

Y'all are acting like Pruitt isn't the BEST coach but hey, they'll finally have some talent!

Haven't then been so high mostly due to signing a bunch of kids, and then half of them never end up on campus or something like that?

I don't follow recruiting as close as most, but seems like I remember something along those lines.

I always look at the averages on 24/7 over everything else.

What on Earth?

I just said he was a great coach and great recruiter so they'll always have a good defense and talent.

I made absolutely no reference to the past. I'm not acting like they never had talent.
