That 2023 team didn't win anything in the SEC and lost all the regular season matchups with Tennessee. It's more likely they lucked into those CWS wins than anything based on all the other factors

Um, no they did not. They beat Tennessee 2/3 last year in the regular season and both games in Omaha

Every year is different. I don't think this Vols team had to contend with an opponent like Wake Forest last year, who pushed LSU really hard.
Congrats to the Vols, they're definitely the best team this year.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match, but I definitely think 2023 LSU has a good chance to beat anyone in a 3 game series. Skenes gives you 1 W, and then you're looking at a loaded batting lineup, I don't think this year's Tennessee pitching staff is as good as last years, and LSU did ok against last year's. And Omaha tends to neutralize the big HR numbers (not ALL the Vols' bats, but maybe half of them).
Who knows, it's all conjecture. Again, congrats to the Vols, they've earned the right to talk now.

I understand this thread is mostly for the reaction. This was a great team. Certainly one of the years where you can say the best team in college baseball won the college World Series.
I don’t think you have the resume to claim best ever, however, 60 wins, co-conference, sec tourney, and CWS is significant
being national champion is enough. no one else can debate that.
