This season is the worst the SEC has been since 2005

2014 was a little better, but this year, yikes.
Good team: Alabama
(Florida with Grier)
Mediocre teams:
Florida
MSU
Ole Miss
Bad teams:
The rest of the conference

Arkansas has 5 losses. They are not one of the better teams

Florida, LSU, and auburn were all pretty damn good in 06

The entire east is awful now that Grier is gone at UF.
The West is pretty good, the records look worse but that's due to beating up on each other, and honestly there isn't any "pushover" teams in the West that can make the records of the upper tier west teams look better. MSU and Ole Miss have placed themselves in the mix with everyone else the past 2 years..just a week ago both had a shot to win the West. Ole Miss still has a shot.
Alabama is the best. Auburn is pretty bad. Everyone else is about even really. I think the west teams will do good in their bowl games. I think the East will do awful in theirs

The West isn't pretty good. LSU was a one man team, Ole Miss lost to Memphis who seems to have overachieved early and is coming back to earth, MSU is nothing without Dak Prescott, Arkansas can't put a full season together, and we know the story with Auburn.
Alabama is the only great team in that division.

Arkansas definitely doesn't belong with the other teams listed, they are a bad team.
Honestly the whole conference is down, teams from the west are trying to defend themselves, but they are bad outside of Bama.

Fine, I'll remove Arkansas, but they would win the SEC East this season easily if they were in it.

The East, on the other hand, is probably the worst.
Overall I'd probably still go with the SEC on top though the Big Ten is close. Alabama is a potentially elite team while there are a lot of solid to good teams:

They would beat Florida without Grier and Georgia. They would have 1 SEC loss max in the East, maybe 2.
