This was discussed at length by Kentucky and Tennessee fans during our game. We all agreed Mullen should stay.

On this weekend, it's hard to get Tennessee and Kentucky fans to agree on much. So by that measure, Florida is obligated to keep him

Pump the brakes buddy. You won by 6 today. Scored 20 on LSU. And it's not because the West is all that wild.

Problem is Mullen doesn’t have a program buying him players. He isn’t used to that.

If UF hires a coach that is competent enough of a recruiter to make UF the choice program in Florida especially when the other Florida programs are down you will be fine against Kirby.

I would almost agree but who is that guy? Been a long time since Urban Meyer made noise. Muschamp, McElwain, Mullin all failed to do it. I think it's easier said than done. The whole state of Florida has lost its footing. With UCF and UAF gaining steam and attention, and FSU, Miami, and Florida all regressing, the top kids are headed out of state. Not sure that changes overnight or anytime soon.

UF made bad hires. Muschamp and McElwain....c'mon man.
Mullen was always average and is a weirdo.

UF has to stop being cheap and go after bigger fish.

If UF stays on trend then the next HC will be Chad Morris.

The obvious answer is that Mullen is not getting the job done. There is only one person that can turn things around at Florida and he's already on the staff.

That's right Florida fans. It is time to promote Grantham to head coach!

Kiffin would win the East in at least his 3rd year at UF.

Mel Tucker, Ryan Day, Luke Fickell, or Cristobal would win the East by year 4 at UF.

The coach at Wake or Coastal Carolina would win the East by year 4 at UF.

The coach at IowaSt or Minnesota would win the East by year 5 at UF.

UF has everything it takes to be a juggernaut in college football except a decent coach.

And all of these things were said about Mellen. "He is going to dominate, because look what he did at Mississippi State!" "Now he will have Florida level talent!" etc etc etc

"Best x's and O's coach in college football!" "MUCH better game day coach than Kirby Smart!"

Are you saying he should have gone to Ole Miss?

I think there are two big problems for Florida regaining the top spot.

1: You can't swing a dead cat without hitting an FBS level school in the state of Florida. Not to mention everyone in the country fishes in Florida for talent. Its not as easy to establish recruiting dominance as it used to be.

2: You have Georgia squatting on top of the division. Now there will be bad years for the Dawgs (relatively speaking) but by and large you are going to have to root out a perennial top 10 program every year in your division just to make the SEC championship game.

I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying it would take some effort to get it done. It is, however, fairly obvious that Mullen is not the answer to the problem.

You obviously didn’t follow that story very well did you? If you had you would know that LL got paid $10K by people associated with Ole Miss and State (I know the idiot who did it for Ole Miss & that ambulance chaser is a true idiot)….and that Muffins was involved in it.

Like what? Many have tried, many have failed. Only two coaches have ever had success there. Spurrier was one of the greatest coaches of the last forty years. He won on national championship there. Nobody even questions the assertion that he would have won multiple national championships at LSU or Alabama.

You say a decent coach? They hired multiple decent coaches and they fail. Average coaches at LSU and Bama win national championships.

You say that now, but if UGA is having to deal with UF with a competent coach instead of Mullen 3 years from now, then it won't be so funny.

1. Well let's look at this. Every school in Florida is down right now...some historically down. Florida just played the the SECCG and should have built on this, but they didn't. Also everybody recruits in Georgia, too. Clemson, Auburn, Alabama (you do understand that William Anderson is from Georgia, right?) Florida, Tennessee, and even LSU.

And we got threre because our coach knows he has to recruit. Mullen just thinks he is the smartest person in the room and can out coach everybody, while making incredibly stupid game day decisions. The very think everybody points their fingers at Kirby about.

I agree. But for $7 million a year, I think a school can expect a little effort, don't you?

I think it's safe to say that. And I think Florida fans are justified in their frustration and anger. A clear tip off should have been when he showed up for a post game press conference dressed as Darth Vader.

Which is exactly what y'all told us when Mullen went to Florida after y'all fired McIlwaine.
It's been a minute that your administration has actually made a good hire, wouldn't you say? yet..."This next one will be the one!"
