This is why you don’t pick teams who avoided bad losses

You pick teams that can actually beat good teams. Smu didn’t beat ranked teams, Clemson didn’t beat ranked teams (until smu), Indiana didn’t beat ranked teams, Tennessee barely beat Alabama.

Would ole Miss have won today? I don’t know. But they beat 2 top 15 teams by 3 scores. You want good first round games, you pick teams that have proved they can win big games.

Avoiding bad losses should only be a tie breaker between teams that both have good wins.

We would have destroyed Ohio State today Tennessee is absolute trash and has embarrassed so much. It was like Kamala versus Trump.

Why play games if the losses don’t matter?

Why have a season?

Retards don’t understand beating the best teams means your team is capable.
Getting upset happens to everyone including Ohio state who lost to a shitty Michigan.

Wins against good competition should matter more

If losses are all that matter, why not put South Dakota State in? Oh, because they’re FCS and cant beat a top FBS team? Right.

Losses do matter. But for the playoff to grow they need competitive games. And you get competitive games by putting in teams who have proved they can win, not avoid bad losses.

No.

This is why it's dumb to have 12 teams in the playoff.

Texas didn't beat ranked teams... and won.
ND didn't beat ranked teams (unless you count Army)... and won.
PSU didn't beat ranked teams (unless you count Illinois)... and won.

My point applies even if you keep the same teams in the playoff. OSU should have been the 5 seed, but the committee reflexively punished them more for a bad loss than it rewarded them for blowing out IU and beating Penn State. That and Notre Dame at the 6 seed would have given us at least a chance at competitive 7/10 and 8/9 games

I was wondering how Ole Miss and Alabama fans would spin Tennessee getting blown out into a reason they should have gotten in.

Well done

The seeding is baffling. South Carolina vs. Notre Dama and Ole Miss vs ZOenn State would have been must see tv.

I don’t think we should’ve gotten in. Losing to LSU should’ve guaranteed missing. But that doesn’t mean SMU or Indiana or Tennessee belonged. Clemson either. This has been a shitshow.

Clemson belong because they won the ACC so I respect giving the ACC winner a spot and they were seeded correctly at 12
