WRONG WRONG WRONG

Since 2014 (your timeframe)

VOLS: 34-29
SC: 32-32
Arky: 28-35
Vandy: 24-38

Tennessee vs. these opponents since 2014:
SC: 2-3
Arky: 0-1
Vandy: 2-3

I rest my case, Tennessee is at the bottom of the bottom of the barrel in the past 5 years.

The best state will ever do is a bowl game

Hell, better than Tennessee could do the past few years.

Thread is a very good indicator of where the VOLS stand.

Arguing about relevance with Mississippi State and Missouri fans is about as low as it gets. Very sad.

It's always funny when this is the generic response when a fanbase has fallen so far. Cheer up, baseball is looking like it may take off soon.

That was not your contention. You said that we are the most embarrassing and irrelevant team in the SEC in the past 5 years.

In those 5 years we finished ranked twice. The rest of those teams combined finished ranked once. Additionally, we went 3-0 in bowls over that span (Arky 2-1, SC 2-2, Vandy 0-2).

Some Tennessee fans still need to teach you about the self-loathing aspect of being a fan.

Oh he’ll catch on after we don’t make a bowl and Prick wins 15 games next season

Well...during that span, your team lost at home to South Alabama...so we should differ to your knowledge on what is embarrassing and depressing.

I'm not close to the biggest Barnes fan but some of you guys are too rough on him.

I am 100% behind you on the Steve Forbes train though. Don't want him in the SEC.

That was the best team weve had since the 70s, maybe ever. We didn't win the league, or the SEC tourney, and we got bounced in the sweet 16 and barely finished in the top 10.

And any momentum we had going into next season just crapped out when Barnes almost went to UCLA and then when our 3 best players all left

Yeah, I don't disagree with any of that. I have always thought he underachieves in the tournament. That was his label at Texas. He did it famously with Durant and other talented teams. That being said, he has still done very well overall for you guys. You said yourself that it was the best team maybe ever, did he not have anything to do with that?

The UCLA thing was shitty. I'm not saying Tennessee fans don't have a right to be upset with him but some act like they want him gone, which I think is way too far at this point.

Y'all just enjoy the frick out of a good coaching search, which I can't blame you for.

Missouri can do it, too. That's what has me concerned when Mizzou comes to Athens; but, you'll have extra incentive vs. UT.

Well, Barry, it’s a cutthroat business. I would think a man would go to Pruitt and confront him about it instead of melting in the press. Lord knows Sand Mountain would have wanted to throw down instead of whining about it.

Is this supposed to be a compelling coaching rivalry or something? Why would anyone waste time worrying about a November game where there will be less than nothing on the line.

Not very optimistic and "blue blood" sounding of you, looks like your already bracing yourself for another beating. Perhaps you are starting to get comfortable with your spot in the cellar? If I were you I would be hoping for a "coaching rivalry" because that would come with the assumption that we didn't hang 50 on you every year while turning Neyland into a half empty recovery center.
