I will leave this here, I won't comment any further, and let you all have at it, because I know it is not a popular opinion:
YES our O-line got blown up.
YES Alabama's D-line is one of the best ever.
YES the safeties for Bama put in work.
But after watching the game, again and again, and looking at his demeanor, Fournette wasn't there. He was a head-case. From the beginning.
He got into it about the Katrina banner on Twitter. Odell Beckham got involved too.
USA today started with the possible NCAA violations. It affected him, his mental focus, at the least.
He is still young and handled all that poorly IMHO. One day he will be a professional and will learn to filter that out.
Here's hoping he has focus this week.

He did look demoralized. Getting molested in front of 102,000 and millions watching on TV would be tough to handle.

Can...can we get different imagery here, please? My brain didn't care for that one.

You think Henry and Elliot run for 25+ in front of LSU's O line??

This is NOT a criticism of your thread.
Okay, maybe it is. This thread isn't very good.

Fournette just isn't a GREAT player. That's okay. There are lots of good players that play great in meaningless games and they even make it to the NFL. It's the GREAT players, however, that play their best when facing the toughest competition on the biggest stage. That's what Derrick Henry does and what Leonard Fournette is incapable of doing. It doesn't mean LF7 is a bad player, it just means he's good not great.

This thread didn't go the way you hoped it would huh

Just pretend to be an Alabama fan and join in. It's a blast!

Its sad that your emotional state derives from that.

Another giant factor was Leo praising the backs of SU's lore, while not paying homage to the great backs of ALABABAMA'S past during his "greatest ever" mythical heisman run.
I think RBU/LBU/DLU/ took that as disrespect.
Had he acknowledged BAMA for their great RB tradition, we may have give him 100, like we did for the GA back.
Oh well, players get exposed. It happens L5U.

You're correct - it's not character criticism of Leonard Fournette.
It's making excuses for Leonard Fournette.
