Just went to lunch and it is beautiful (but hot) day I truly do not understand we aren’t playing ball.. the whole thing from beginning to end has been mis managed abc might be the death nail of the tournament in Hoover. I’m just ready to see my tigers play ball.

They mismanaged rain? Are you high?

It's been pouring every day this week. Not sure what the SEC or Hoover can do

They mismanaged several contingencies available to them. No one is blaming the SEC for it raining

tourney definitely needs a plan B if the week looks like rain

I don’t know about mismanaged, but they could’ve played the Florida game this morning

How bout 2?
1) making the tournament single elimination once they realized they probably wouldn't be able to get all the games in
2) playing games simultaneously at the Met and at Samford. It's already been announced that Samford's stadium is available if needed.
Either of those options (or both) would have benefitted getting the tournament played to completion. They've done neither, and now we're in a situation where round 2 may not be completed until Friday morning, leaving 10 games to be played from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. They've known about this weather since before the tournament began.

Dueling games at either Samford or UAB.
There's one.

Not like the rain is a surprise... why not play a game this morning before the storms rolled in?

This type of rain setting in hasn’t happened to the SEC tourney in years. It’s usually spot showers and sweating your arse off in 90°+ weather.

it's behind half a day
12 year old girls softball ends up playing games at midnight sometimes and complain less than some of you

We did have a Fog Delay back in 2018

send us losers to Samford stadium later today, we deserve it

Yeah. Just move it somewhere else next year and have it rain there all week.

But,seriously. This has been in the forecast for a week. I game like Florida and A&M with anticipated modest support could have been played at UAB or Samford-- about 15 minutes from the Met while the Vandy and UT game was played in Hoover.
This should be one of the perks of the tourney being in the league's HQ city. Of course no one can do anything about the rain itself, but to just sit there and hope for the best is questionable.

At this point, they are a full day behind. Only one Round 2 games has been played.
