I was so pumped to see Florida play UCF! LSU vs Michigan looks pretty good on-paper too. But today's announcement is such a horrible pairing for both bowls!

Our AD says he had to leave the room when the pairings were made. So who in their right mind paired Michigan up with the Gators for the umpteenth time??? Good Lord! There were some great matchups STARING IN EVERYBODY'S FACE! And look what we got. Just plain turrible.

Yep.

We we're dying for Michigan.

I think the excuse was that they wanted Michigan closer to home? fricking dumb.

So they chose to send them to Atlanta?

Totally. Who drives from Ann Arbor to Atlanta for a bowl weekend? You'll spend two days driving for one day in Atlanta!

In that case, they should have sent Florida to the Fiesta too. LSU deserves to be closer to home as well.

We all seem to be in agreement on the opponents.

LSU never gets Michigan and we absolutely wanted them over UCF. Florida & UCF could've had a Swampland showdown.

Instead, the media seems to want the flashiness of UF vs UM and LSU to look like the bad guy pounding on injured UCF.

Now with that being said, LSU learned by watching Auburn's underestimate of UCF. That won't happen twice for them.

Well those were the only options from the get-go.

And I just wanted to see how we would match up.

UCF is really lose-lose for us.

Please. The committee saved the SEC from a second consecutive beat down by UCF.
UCF would destroy soft FL and their awful QB.
LSU will physically beat down UCF and is a much better match up for the SEC to save face.

We would gladly trade. I suspect that your AD had something to do with it. Living in Florida and losing to a team like that would have been a major embarrassment. Not saying that I think that you would lose but is it worth the PR risk? LSU could be hurt by a loss, but I suspect it would be worse for Fla.

Straight shot down I - 75, you can do it in a single day if you are still young

If not you are looking at 5.5 hrs per day and a midway point just south of UK in Richmond.

Several BD's along the way.

Why would you drive? Fly in, Marta over, Marta back, fly back...8 hrs total. Wouldn't even have to book a room.

I'd heard that it's written somewhere that the G5 rep can't be sent to the same NY6 game twice in a row.

So, blame UCF for shitting in the punch bowl once again.

Or just blame the bowls for having idiotic tie-ins
