I remember in 2013 after the Kick Six, Colin Cowherd said football had passed Saban by, Gus Malzahn was the future of college football, Gus would win more championships than Saban and run him out of the SEC. Many here believed it. That was 10 years and three more national championships (and three runner-up finishes) ago.

Nobody in their right mind ever thought Gus would win more than Saban. Especially after a fluke victory. That never happened.

I don't believe for a second that Bama isn't going to do well again this year. Being in the position they are makes them the most dangerous team of all.

Bama will throw some ridiculous contract at Kirby once Saban hangs it up, and we'll have to all have to live with it. He'll end up with more rings than Saban. Bama isn't going anywhere.

Kirby is only leaving Georgia for the NFL. Alabama is a poor university in a poor state. They don’t have much to offer.
