This football season is do or die for Alabama.

The regression of Alabama’s football program is due to a change of offensive philosophy. Alabama’s offense became more finesse, which caused their defense to become weaker. Their defense has not been good the last couple years.
Kirby is about to have a stranglehold on college football. Recruits are already taking note. If Alabama doesn’t make the playoff this year, they will slip right back into the Shula years.
Saban is not the same. He is a weak old man that shits in his pants. He has lost his edge. There’s nobody that will come close to replacing what he built. Alabama is about to slip into oblivion.

Meh, the Shula years is going a bit out there. You’d need the ncaa to step in to cause that.

That won't happen but they have slipped and it is obvious. They have made mental mistakes the last few years they didn't before and they commit a lot of dumb penalties also. Not sure where the discipline has went but its not the same as is normal for Saban teams. The real big difference is that they don't have the offense and defensive lines that they normally have had.

I don't think it's do or die, but its more important than many Bama fans want to admit. It'll be one thing for UGA to win 3 straight NCs, but if LSU wins the west, which I think they will, wait and see what kind of fire Lord Saban will be getting from those fans that have worshipped the ground he's walked on for years now.

The biggest change isn't in the finesse vs strength, it is because they chose to stroke egos and go for individual awards rather than having units where everyone is working towards having the best unit, not necessarily having the stats to be a shoe-in for an end of the year name award.
All these Bama and tOSU fans should be asking why losing their star players caused such a huge hole in their offense, not moaning about injuries.
Meanwhile, UGA was using 10 different receivers most games and 3-4 RBs. Subbing out most positions on the defense throughout the game. They could still score 42 points with their best offensive guy getting limited touches
