All these years I have been here, I was astounded at the visceral dislike of LSU by other fanbases in the region. It’s just a sport after all, right?

I, as a naïve Californian of yankee blood, didn’t get it. I was drawn to LSU as my second team because I thought they were running an old school, do-it-the-right-way system and dominating most opponents in the process. Saban and Les brought big ten systems to the bayou bengals and it was a privilege watching them grind teams to dust.

The latter years of Les combined with the flameout of O and BK has, sadly, fritted away any sense of decency among the collective LSU psyche. Now, it’s a win at all costs cult. No morally upstanding program would entertain a man with such an immoral exit at multiple programs. Lying to Tennessee and giving a ten second press conference, bolting OM after his players gave their blood and tears giving him a playoff berth. To the new LSU, it does not matter. All that matters is that one letter invented long ago by Norman scribes: “W”.

I hope he fails. I think he will fail.

And with 3 straight whiffs at coaching hires, LSU will reap that whirlwind as it carries them back to the 90s.

There is very little about college football these days that is "moral".

LSU once again proves it is the best job in CFB.

A freaking Notre Dame coach leaves for LSU.
Now a SEC rival in the PLAYOFFS leaves for LSU.

Bow down to greatness, bitches!

What is this shite? You think strong D and running the ball were brought to the SEC from the B10? For real?

21-0 broke them and they never want to experience that again. It was basically their joker origin story. Even they know 2019 was a flash in the pan, "fluke" has a negative connotation but it fits. So they are doing everything they can to avoid 21-0 while also maximize their chances at a championship that isn't the stars aligning... Hell even the Les natty was with a 2 loss team.

Any reservation I had about hiring LK disappears every time I read these threads. The fear other fanbases have for him tells me everything I need to know. Great hire.

That’s changing soon

With Lane in charge, I cannot see myself being around TD nearly as much, as I now have very little interest in LSU.
