Not true. Many of the so-called greatest teams only had 1 tough game. Ohio State ran a gauntlet of the top ones.

Because they know we are a wealthy university with a wealthy alumni body that can write blank checks like nothing. $8 billion endowment is pretty damn high for a public university.
Schools like Alabama are poor as frick and have to rely on sidewalk fans to donate to their NIL. It’s also why they aggressively go after out of state students and give them full rides. But it’s not like they’ll be winning anything of significance in the near future with that clown head coach called DeBoer.

2019 LSU only played one tough game, and that was at Alabama. Texas was a much more mediocre program then as this was pre-NIL. I don’t even consider Georgia a tough game because Georgia was always a mediocre program before Stetson Bennett came along and played there until he was almost 30.

2019 LSU beat the entire preseason AP top 4.
They beat 7 top 10 teams total with 5 of those matchups coming on the road or at neutral sites.
The beat 4 top 5 teams, with all of those matchups coming on the road or at neutral sites.
And didn't lose to anyone, especially an unranked.

Ok, I’ll give it to ya. That 2019 LSU was really, really good. BUT, you guys sold your soul to the devil for that season. Clock continues to tick and it’s been 5 years since you guys have reached an NY6 bowl. Better hope that Kelly will get his shite together.
