The bama fan melts, are so exquisite.
Nothing like posing as a bama fan on an all Gump message board, never to post, but just to read all the melts, breakdowns, rages that happen every single time they lose a game.

Boy I bet that's an exciting night once or twice a year, huh?

Ecstasy, weed, and bourbon back in the '80's. 18 - 22 year old girls in sundresses then and now.

I'm jealous at how quickly their university has grown based off of their academic success/football success. Sure, LSU has grown an exponential amount over the past 15 years, but Bama is growing at another pace. I also like how they're doing it. I'd like to see LSU really try and recruit out of state kids harder. I know 6 bama kids from California that chose between LSU and Bama, and they talked about how bama just flat-out showed they wanted them more.
It would be nice if LSU would funnel money in to the greek system like Alabama too. I know a lot of very well to do kids that didn't go Greek at LSU because its perception isn't even close to what UGA, Bama, and Ole miss bring to the table.
I also really enjoy visiting their campus and the quad. It's not LSU, but it's a very fun tailgating scene
eta: my animosity for alabama stems from winning TOO freaking much. It's annoying as hell that the winningest football program with the most OCD coach combined with the most irrationally passionate fanbase just happens to be in the same division as us. Les and LSU would have a couple of more 12 win seasons is Bama wasn't in our division

Bear Bryant in Cam Newton's jersey.
Is Bear still wearing it or did they take it down?

Well, if bama played a decent team, more than once or twice a year there would be more good times to be had. But losing to a meh Oklahoma team was a step in the right direction going into next season.

Always a good time - game weekends and other weekends as well. Beautiful campus. BDS is nice too

I like how tUA is the measuring stick for the rest of college football. You see it when a team beats Bama how they act as if they have won the title game. Why? Because Bama has been consistently one of the top teams in college football. No other team garners that kind of respect.
I love the campus. I know I am biased, but there isn't a more beautiful campus in tSEC.
I like how most of the fan base is passionate and knowledgeable.
I love the tradition behind our rivalries. There is no better feeling than walking out of BDS smelling the cigar smoke on the WSIO (w is for whatever because it is seldom ever on the third saturday)
Finally, I'm going to borrow this from T-Rey in WI. This is what I love most about our football tradition:

Winning in a way that says this is where we live and belong rather than getting all excited and rushing the field or tearing down the goal posts because the win was something out of character for who you actually are.

The fans are one thing that would fall under the "what you don't like about..." thread. Get over yourself

There were "We want Bama" shirts from Oregon, as well as we want Bama chants from all over the country last year. Where were the ones for Auburn? FSU? Any of the other top teams? Alabama is seen as the gold standard in college football. Look at the interviews with recruits. Most of them when discussing Alabama will say something to the effect of "It's Alabama. They win championships."
Look at how insufferable the Aggies were last offseason. Why?

Maybe you should as well. I am not talking the Updyke part of our fan base. I am talking about the alum, educated portion. I'm talking about those who know the names and positions of our backups, and can tell you about the incoming recruits from the five stars down to the three stars. We have several knowledgeable fans.
Don't read all of the headlines. Of course we have a lot of crazies. It comes with the territory of winning so many championships. If Auburn won as much as Alabama has, the crazies would flock there. I wouldn't trade Alabama's success for anything even if it means our fans make headlines once in awhile.

I love the University of Alabama because when a team like Auburn or Florida beats them by 1 point and wins a type of championship on their way, Alabama comes back the next year and beats the shite out of them regardless of the venue.

I would love it better if it was even further a way from where I live!

Really? Tommy Tuberville disagrees.

2) The campus. It's gorgeous.

6) The quad. It's as picturesque as it gets, and, provides a hell of a lot more tailgating space than other tent epicenters in the SEC

9) Our uniforms. Watch an Alabama game in 1970. Or 1980. Or 2014. They're the same, and by damn they're clean as hell. It's as iconic a uniform as there is in all of sports
Kinda have to agree with these. I can't comment knowledgably on the others. In full disclosure, one of my best friends, a guy I usher with at church is a Bama fanatic. That he and I are friends is probably one of the teleological proofs of God's existence.

Maybe if Auburn was actually decent more often that wouldn't be the case, but sadly, you're usually lowering Alabama's SOS. Oops.
