If you can't admit that paying a DC 3 million a year is insane because if your fandom then you can't be reasoned with. It's okay to step back and admit that paying 3 mill for a defensive coordinator is ridiculous.

This is silly. We don't hate aggie, y'all are just really annoying. It's hard to hate that win every year.

it's also okay to admit that the idea that a school shouldn't pursue things to the fullest extent of its own capabilities all because "no one else has offered that much before" is a lot more ridiculous

You do understand what a rhetorical statement is, right baw? If your school wants to shell out the bucks then go for it. Best of luck. We are living on the cheap with Coach O. Apparently that is the LSU way. As long as we win at least nine games, beat A&M and go to a bowl game we are a success. Yay us.

I'm actually pretty bored with the constant flaming from the aggie camp.

We are just filling the vacuum Arky fans left behind after king hog fell off the bike.

almost doubling

First, that’s false.

Second, when all is said and done, y’all will have offered him even more to stay (just like you did with Chavis...court documents show LSU offered him more than his A&M contract, with no Les Miles clause, and he still left), but he is still going to leave. Y’all have systemic problems in you athletic department, and it’s about to catch up to y’all.

You honestly think LSU can't pay Aranda 3 million a year if they wanted to?

LSU didn't offer to nearly double the salary of the highest paid coordinator in the country. They offered to pay Aranda what other top DCs were making. A&M is desperate. The have money few schools do but there is no denying their desperation after this offseason

Neither did A&M.

A&M is offering in excess of $3 million. Even if it were exactly $3million, that's a 70% raise. I'd call that close to doubling

Sources on both sides are now saying it's much lower

Did you read that on Tiger Rant or did you figure that out on your own

I can confirm that these words were spoken by Wisconsin fans when LSU hired away their star defensive coordinator by giving him a raise from $500,000 to 1.5 million.

Uhhhh ok then.

I think A&M should just buy LSU and be done with it.

Texas A&M at Baton Rouge has a ring to it.

I think they are offering him that right now

But that's not the point. The point is, the logic of "A&M shouldn't be offering him that much" is stupid. If we can offer him that much, we should
