Big 10 and PAC 12 just fricked us all by moving to spring. Reason being is if they’d just canceled their season we all could still have played and had a playoff between the conferences that competed. By delaying till spring now we would have to wait for them to finish their seasons before a playoff can occur. Then you have a whole lot more issues with the NFL draft and such. Either a lot of players sit out or the draft gets delayed. So I imagine the rest will delay till spring now. Then tv contracts with March madness and other spring sports will conflict, along with the draft, virus will still be around, etc.

There will be no 2020 season. It’s over

Yeah football in spring complicates things further than just cutting losses and hopefully return to normal in 2021

...you mean Texas is the decider today, right? Where they go, the conference goes.

Why do you think this is true at all?

I don't disagree that the season won't get played, but the reason you gave has zero to do with it. I know they are part of the CFP, but they essentially just waived their right to be a part of it this season if the SEC, ACC, and BIG XII do play this fall.

Agreed

CFB may not be played in the Fall, but if the SEC/ACC/Big12 play, I think there would still be a CFP. Why wouldn’t there be?

The Pac12 and Big10 are hardly ever in the playoff anyway.

If the Big Ten sits out Fall 2020, a National Championship without the most historic power conference will be suspect. They've been in every title game since the BCS started except in '20, '19, '18, '17, '16, '14, '13, '12, '11, '10, '09, '06, '05, '04, '02, '01, '00, & '99.

I don't think they have any intention of playing in the spring.

Yeah I’m hopeful that the SEC holding strong will work but Big10 and Pac 12 just straight up scared to play ball. But campus and classes will be wide open. How does this make any damn sense?

Spring is so all their players don't leave, there will be no spring football. It's a horrible idea.

Yeah he has, and so have I, because we are not blind sheep and actually pay attention to the writing on the wall

Now everyone is going to be supremely butthurt when the should have spent the last few weeks knowing the inevitable was coming and coming to terms with it.

This. And I’d love to be wrong and it pisses me off. The entire shutdown over this virus pisses me off. It’s ruining people’s livelihoods, jobs, and everything we love. It’s infringing on our freedoms. I’ve had enough of it all. It’s been putting me in a deep depression lately

Any governor of a state that had a university vote to shut down should either immediately clean out the administrations of those schools or be run out of office.
