Meanwhile, in real-land, Georgia went 10-4 to finish out the '08 season which started so promising. Quite the disappointment, wouldn't you say?
Add in an 8-5 season in '09, a 6-7 season in '10 and one gets the idea that the Blackout Game blacked out Georgia for quite a while. More shitty seasons with 8 wins here and there were to follow before Georgia finally amounted to something here lately.

Just so we are completely clear. Most Alabama fans realize that that game isn’t this one, and doesn’t matter. Neither do any of the other times we have played in the past. I have a lot of respect for Ga and recognize Kirby has built a machine out there. I expect us to show up and give you guys four quarters of hell and that to be reciprocated. The two most talented teams in the SEC and likely the country are about to go at it and it should be good football.

Only thing getting buried on Saturday is what remains of Saban’s “dynasty”. UGAs inevitable victory will mark the second year in a row with no playoffs for Saban and the Tide. It will mark the first time you’ve gone 3 years without an NC under Saban. And it will be another step on Kirby and UGAs path to the greatest run in SEC and NCAA history.
