He actually picks up on a lot of the important things other guys miss. Nothing prepares you better for quickly identifying coverages and breaking down plays than being a QB.

Did you know Alabama was running Auburn`s offense in the game Saturday? Even i wanted to say "Gary uh you know most teams have versions of the jet sweep in their play books"

All the color guys were QBs

Take a shot every time Palmer says "catch radius" during a broadcast and you will get shithoused quickly......

We need to make a Palmer bingo drinking game.

Yes

Brent Musburger is fantastic on play by play and is easily the gold standard in today's game.
hell no

Danielson is excellent but needs to shut up sometimes. Always reminding everyone how smart he is. Gets old.
Thank you. I get so tired of hearing his voice during a broadcast. He acts sometimes like he invented football.
That was our game Saturday, and he should have known that Bama fans would not want to hear him keep mentioning Auburn. He just hated that he didn't get to do the Iron Bowl, and I enjoyed it so much more without him.
What will he do when Verne leaves and his next partner won't let him take over and do all the talking?

He is very good at what he does. The negative on him..............nobody will ever love him as much as he loves himself.

Danielson talks too much and borders on the hyperbolic at times. For example, when Matty Mauk threw off his back foot into double coverage and Hunt came down for it (the first time he did this, anyway) Gary could not shut up about what a great throw it was by Mauk.
No, Gary, it was a fortunate throw by Mauk. No quarterback should be praised for throwing off their back foot into double coverage. Nine times out of ten it gets picked and the QB looks like an idiot for not throwing it away.

Personally, I prefer Blackledge over anyone other announcer.

It becomes evident throughout a broadcast that the man spends countless of hours is preparation before the game.
I agree that when it comes to college football analysis he is the best around. My problem with him is that there is more to his job than X's and O's. For example, rule #1 of Announcing 101 is to not show bias toward any team. A viewer should NEVER be able to tell based on the way the game is being announced if either team is being favored by the announcer. Gary has a lot of work to do in this area.

the first 20 minutes of this was brutal. He finally piped down about it.

Danielson is hot garbage. I don't like when we play on CBS, simply due to the fact that I have to listen to him for 3+ hours.

Funny, when they had Palmer on to discuss the playoff selections yesterday, I thought to myself that he's even starting to look like Seacrest. Was expecting him to say "Palmer out!" when he finished.

Completely agree with you. Gary is awesome and Brent is horrible. Brent-Palmer might be my most hated announcer team ever.
