The "better team" doesn't miss FG's, or at least they overcome them.
Case in point...the last LSU - Bama OT game in Tuscaloosa before November 5th took place on November 12, 2005. LSU beat Bama 16 - 13 in OT, despite missing THREE second half FG's. Just like this year, Bama was undefeated and highly ranked before suffering their first loss to LSU.
Sensing a pattern here, boys?
To the OP...I appreciate your enthusiasm...but reign it in, there's still some work to be done. Let's just enjoy the ride for now.
