Their season completed, what’s the Rant long term forecast for Kiffin now? Multiple choice

A. Kiffin eventually has an epic scandal and departs for non win loss reasons
B. Kiffin averages 7-8 wins and eventually it’s not enough to keep his job
C. Kiffin averages 9 wins a year and an occasional big bowl and leaves for a bigger job in 4-6 years
I’ve got to say I’m leaning towards A

He can be quite the jackass but he seems to know where the line is with what will get him fired. He really doesn't have a non win loss scandal that has gotten him fired in the past so why now?

B is way more than enough to keep his job at ole miss.
He may be paid more than Saban in 3-4 years.

Because it’s Oxford

I agree, B
Though I could see him having an occasional 9 win season.

It's probably less about him doing something egregious and more about Ole Miss doing everything they can to find a reason to get rid of him. Because otherwise they are stuck with him for the long haul. At 9m per.

Anything could happen except, he'll never be the Alabama Head Coach. He blew that up.

He already had a 10 win season last year and should have achieved 9 wins this year. He'll be just fine.

Looking at next years schedule I think Ole Miss goes 7-5. I’m going to go with B as well.

For every 10 win season there will be a 7 win rebuilding season.
With the expanded playoffs I think realistically he makes the playoffs every 4 years or so while averaging around 8-4.
Not saying he'll ever win us a title (sec or national) but he'll have us around the 12 team playoff hunt every 3-4 years.

Despite him ending on a downward trend this year , I think most in Oxford know that getting rid of him is not going to improve their win loss record. At least they should know. He is 23-13 with a .638 winning percentage in 3 years (without the benefit of having some rent a wins his first year). Hugh Freeze was 39-25 with a .650 before having 29 games vacated.
I mean that seems to be about peak winning percentage that you are going to get at Ole Miss and it definitely can get way worse. Johnny Vaught is not coming back. Maybe some don't like his personality which is understandable but he is about as good as Ole Miss is going to get when it comes to wins and losses. If you leave him alone, he can put it together every few years and challenge in the west.

Kiffin is Jimbo Lite. Do just enough to keep the checks coming.

D. He wins more than you hope and continues to own space in the heads of every fanbase in America.

I go with D.
D. Kiffin starts strong in a season with 7 wins and the team is in the Top 10... Kiffin bales, takes the next big job offered while the Rebels crater.

Or... 7-8 wins, caps with a big bowl, then jets before a scandal hits. So, all of the above.

I have the feeling if you switch the two, Jimbo would do worse at Ole Miss than Kiffin and Kiffin would be contending for at least a conference title.
Kiffin would probably be miserable in College Station but with the talent at A&M, he would do a lot better than 5-7
