The problem with your logic is you are claiming Alabama is without a doubt the number 2 team in the country because they have the best "loss"

yep...Bama's "wins" resume is actually weak compared to some other top 10 teams.

Miles is going to f*&k saban up in the rematch anyway. JJ 150 yds. rushing on the option w/ those fat LBs not making it to the edges fast enough. Saban's Def. is easier to expose w/ a running QB than Chavis' versus the chest tat frat boy.

They are just upset because they thought they were done with us. And I understand that.

It's kind of like the reaction you see when you're watching a "Friday the 13th" movie and the chick who just put an axe in Jason Vorhees' head realizes he standing right the frick behind her again.

I don't see it, can you elaborate why an LSU team that lost three SEC games including one to UT was deserving of another shot at UT? And why they accepted the title after winning the game.

We won our division, thereby earning the right to play in the game. Also, that game was not for the BCS Championship, but that's not too relevant to the point.

Bama, if things remain the same, will not have won their division. Not only that, you want to play a team from your own division that already beat you. It's not the same.

And for the record, I couldn't care less if we play you in NOLA. You think Nov 5 was bad, just wait.

Don't you mean "off the deep END"?

Yeah, I do, thanks for the correction.

How is it fair that we have to beat you twice to win the NC but you only have to beat us once?

How fair was it that Bama had to beat Florida twice to win the SEC championship in '99 and Florida would only have to have beaten Bama once?

"Fair" doesn't happen much in sports. If you are truly the best team you shouldn't have any fear. However, you probably recognize that neither Bama or LSU was so far and away better as to say who is truly the best or else the game wouldn't have gone to OT.

Playoffs? You talking about playoffs? Comparing the NFL playoff system to the one game BCS winner take all.

I'm talking about rematches in championship games. It DOESN'T MATTER who won in regular season. The championship game counts.

IF we get there, bring on Bama or whoever.

But if we happen to lose to Bama, those who complain that it isn't fair or campaign for a split national championship, are no better than Pete Carroll and USC...just saying.

The BCS Champion IS the National Champion...PERIOD.

I see the argument that a team should not have to win against a team twice in order to prove themselves and to win a title. Yet that is exactly the scenario that benefited LSU in '01, how many LSU fans were upset?

please dont try to compare the SECCG to the national championship

Kind of like being able to claim you are the best team in the country but didn't win your division or conference.

STFU with this childish bullshite. You're not SO dumb that you don't know that the best team in the country sometimes has losses. You guys giving back your '07 title, or was UK and Arky better than you?

And you know damn well if LSU lost 9-6 then all the LSU posters would be crying for a rematch. Y'all are total hypocrites.

And Bama would be doing the same thing as LSU fans in arguing against it. It's all a moo point...just got to let the pieces fall where they may.

Bring on the piggies

If that us the case then we would have been better off to have lost in Tuscaloosa. Then we could draft/coast behind you into New Orleans.

All kidding aside, if the score was reversed and LSU lost 9-6 to Alabama in OT then LSU would be EXACTLY where Alabama currently is at #2 and LSU fans would be justifying their position (and rightfully so) with an all out fury that would probably shut the server down on TD.

Yes, LSU absolutely did win at Alabama. That's why LSU is #1 and in the national championship game if they keep winning. However, who the #1 team is has absolutely zero bearing on who the second best team is according to the BCS. The BCS is about getting the two best teams on the field in a championship game, not about being the most fair or catering to the #1 team. Once LSU is #1 and in the game, they're out of the equation when it comes to who the second best team is.

I well aware of how the system works. Tell me how getting a second chance due to the system that is in place is different in '01 than it is in '11.

Do you feel that OSU and UM should've had a rematch in 06? Just curious.

No. I didn't, but it wasn't because I didn't want a rematch. I honestly didn't feel they were the two best teams in America. The bowls proved they weren't. Both teams lost by double digits in their bowl game.
