It may just be mental. He’s in a high pressure job and a high expectation program. People handle stress differently than others.

Just look at the post about depression. It doesn’t care what color, age, economic status you are.

He will wind up at South Carolina.

That is where old NC winning coaches go to fail.

And now Ohio State is falling apart so he running for the hills. In about a year or 2 he will say that hes all healed and start over his shite system all over again some where else.

If 12-1 is falling apart, I’ll take that every time. Hell the U would sign Mark Richt a lifetime extension, same at Auburn if Gus or Coach O at LSU could pull that off.

The cracks start small, players quitting, players getting in trouble outside of the football facility, coaches showing favoritism, coaches getting in trouble.

Meyer left the Florida program in shambles, and most likely will OSU as well. It was not very evident when he was at Florida (rumors really) but came to light right after he left. We shall see what happens to OSU.

Spurrier quit on South Carolina, but I wouldn’t say he failed.

Well if you are going to compare Ryan Day to Urban, it’s not fair to day. He’s not going to go 82-9 in Columbus in his first 7 years, no matter what a second rate conference the Big Ten is. By most college football experts this year, the claim was that the B1G was second best to the SEC. I’m not stating that but it is in the conference power index rankings. If he can get 10 and 11 win seasons, go .500 in bowl games and win 7 out of ten (avg) matchups with Missagain, most Buckeye fans will be happy with that

The guy is in obvious pain.

And lol at anyone calling him a fraud.

186 wins in 17 seasons is fricking ridiculous.

12-1. An all-time win over our rival. Big Ten champs. Rose Bowl.

Yep. Barely hanging on...

I agree about the barely hanging on but the 1st part is pretty much the norm for OSU. So my question for a Buckeye fan is that enough to be that close and not get that chance to win the title.

I guess that could go for any fan base. What would be timeline for a title. Every 4 years, every 5 years, or every 10 years. What is realistic?

UA we are spoiled right now and I am just enjoying the ride and will never to expect to be in this place again once Saban leaves.

12-1 Ohio State not being in a "playoff" is a problem with the postseason process, not Ohio State. With the current system, you play your games, Beat Michigan, win a Big Ten title, and see where opinions fall. Until we get a better postseason, yes, this season is "enough."

He may be in pain but he's a lying piece of shite who just happens to be in pain. He's one of the slimiest coaches to ever come through college football.

Solid comment. Good post. Honestly I’ll take a Rose bowl, a huge win over UM and only one loss every season. Now the embarrassing losses to inferior opponents? I’d like to see that come to an end. As far as Alabama, one thing can’t be denied. Saban rarely ever plays down to the competition like Meyer tended to do. Hell, even Tressel used to do this and it was maddening at times. But strictly as far as wins and losses, we are quite happy with the run that the team has been on. I don’t think any other team will see the success that Bama has had over a ten year period. Once he retires, that will truly be a high water mark not likely to be duplicated

Anyone remember that local Kentucky reporter literally chasing BG through the basketball building trying to get an interview after he had been fired?

But Josh Heupel can get his team to go 12-0 at UCF is not like saying he is as good as Frost. Heupel is in a conference that is so weak! I doubt UCF will win against Alabama or Clemson or even some lower ranked teams like Missouri might challenge UCF! UCF is not as good as their record indicated.
