Well of course, but no one is "on notice" until we actually do something.

I doubt that people are afraid of LSU football right now.
PERFECT opportunity for you to sneak up on the West!

I'll be scared of lsu when they beat bama again. Until then they haven't proven they have enough heart on the team to overcome that beat down each year.

Nobody's scared of LSU football anymore. They don't have the "heart" that they used to. They aren't as tough as they used to be.

I will be worried about LSU when they don't get pounded into the turf by Arkansas.
There is no denying LSU has a ton of talent. If they can field an offense that is solid then they can probably make a run for the West and a possible playoff bid.
Beating Alabama is huge of course, but not having Arkansas and Ole Miss put the boots to you is even more important.

What's been impressive about Arky's last two wins over LSU in football is the way that LSU just seemed to quit as soon as the Razorbacks bowed up and played tough.
Even LSU fans have blamed these losses on "Well the Tigers just didn't want to play that night, they were not up for the game because it was Arky". Now, that's got to be the most pathetic excuse in history for losing. That's a seriously embarrassing admission about your team -- they just didn't feel like playing football that day? Really? Then why should any LSU fan spend hours watching a bunch of dudes who don't feel like playing that day?
The toughness and heart need to improve, but, I'll believe it when I see it.
I hope that the SEC Rant can remain as a forum that allows free and open opinions and discussion. Disagreeing with some Sunshine Pumper in a polite manner should not be a bannable offense anywhere, but, certainly not on the SEC Rant.

I'm going to assume you didn't notice that those fools have Tennessee prognostidicted to finish at #5. I can't believe you saw that and still used it as a reference.

Dude, time to grow up and smell the coffee. Right now there are "18 starters" that got beat pretty badly by any team with a pulse and who were not good enough to go to the freaking pros.
It usually takes more than 18 players to win, and the term "starter" is purely a quaint and outdated term. It doesn't really help define how good LSU will be, but it does define how much you know about football.
LSU has a chance to be good, maybe really good next year. But for your own sake, I recommend being conservative about expectations.
