Dore, my Mom works at Vandy and has for years. We've been to several games both football and baseball there and each and every time we've been treated well. Sure, I know the rap......well they don't win so they don't expect much. I don't buy it. The folks are always nice and classy. One game we sat beside the mens basketball coach. We were all decked out in LSU gear and he was just as friendly as he could be.

I wonder if this is part of the reason College Gameday decided not to come to UGA-USC. Campus is so far from the tailgating that a lot less people would show up

They went to A&M because of Jimbo vs Dabo, but narrative on

Gameday was at the Horseshoe on campus for the 2012 game and they were at the fairgrounds for the 2004 game.

quote:Obviously you have never been there. It's actually a walk away from campus as some choose to do. Surrounded by condos.
South Carolina has an off-campus stadium in the abandoned factory district of Columbia. It's a ten minute drive from campus. Because there's only 6 or 7 home games a year, little business has sprung up around it. What are they supposed to do the other 359 days out of the year? So fans have no cool bars to go to, no cool "joints", just parking lots. Bring your own tent. Bring your own cooler. Bring $100 to park. Bring your own food. Except for the elite, it's a desolate shithole out of Breaking Bad. You'll see a methlymine train robbery out of the cockaboose before you'll see a pre/post-game bar or restaurant to hang out in.
You can also do a Google air search and a ground search and see how "stupid" your comment really is !

Loose Cockaboose, River Rat Brewery and whatever the old Jaco's has turned into are at least 3 bars at the stadium. This doesn't even include Doc's, which serves alcohol as well.
3 bars, 80,000 people. Sounds about right.

Props. Nice pull.
Gamecock fans, however, are far better than Dawg fans soooo....

That actually looks pretty damn nice.
As you can see, we're really bad at building warehouses.

The area around Williams-Brice has changed a lot over the last few years. Its looking better. If you park down Shop Rd, then yes there are a few abandoned warehouses but that is close to a half mile or more from the stadium.

That is pretty much what tailgating is. I rather set up my own spot and bring my own food and drinks than go to a bar and get charged more on food and drinks. Also, if you are paying 100 bucks to park then you are a dumbass. Most I ever paid there was 20-25 bucks.

I've been to most SEC venues (will check Baton Rouge off the list this year). Columbia is by far the worst town and stadium I've visited.
No offense to gamecocks as I've known some nice ones, but your house is nasty.

Wow that is just sad. I feel bad for the little cocks that they don’t get a better cfb experience.

2 sides have bigass warehouses next to the stadium. Why lie?

Hell yeah.
Nothing says big time like having Gameday at the state fairgrounds.

I had to park next to a housing project last time I went to a game at UGA.

Sorry you are too poor to afford a real spot for $20
