I hope you aren't a math graduate from LSU. Using the games cited McElroy was:
133-231 57.5%
1671 yds
185.6 avg yds per game
Nice try, but again, I REALLY hope you aren't a LSU graduate with those poor math skills.

Why are you ONLY using completion %? That's not the be all, end all of qb stats.
Mallet 2189 yds 16 TD's 5 INT's 153/272 56%
McElroy 1723 yds 12 TD's 3 INT's 140/234 60%
There are your SEC performances.

Has anyone ever claimed he is anything more than a game manager?
Ingram/Richardson + Bama D, you don't need a gunslinger.

I've said he's a good QB and I said Mallett is not a great QB. The numbers prove out both statements.

Do you think I was wrong? I don't, but apparently I am now persona non grata now!
I said Alabama does what everyone else does, when they say that is not a defense for prior events. Anyway, I don't want to air our dirty laundry here for everyone to read.

I came in on the debate late. Didn't mean for you to air it out. Just saying not everyone was irrationally against you.

In SEC play here are their stats:
Mallett
139-272 passing for 51%
15 TD's and 6 Int's
2189 yds
McElroy
140-234 passing for 60%
12 TD's and 3 Int's
1723 yds
Mallett didn't have the luxury of handing the ball of to a heisman trophy winner.
Mallett also played on the road against the top 4 SEC defense's(alabama, UF, LSU, OM)
McElroy played his road games at UK, Miss ST, OM and Auburn only one good defense in there.
You would be amazed the difference of playing UF in the Swamp in the first year of starting at QB or playing as a visitor in BDS. Instead of playing UK and Miss St on the road. not intimidating.
You put McElroy in our offense he doesn't do shite. You put Mallett in Alabama offense you still probably go undefeated.

Looks like Mallett>>>McElroy to me.

Less percentage. More INT's. 10 of the TD's against only 2 weak teams. Not really.

Look at our road games and look our your road games.
Arkansas - UF, Bama, OM, LSU
Alabama - UK, Miss St, OM, Auburn
which looks tougher to you.

OM was mutual.. Gmac 44% Mallett 35%

So, you admit it, Mallett had more yards and more touchdowns.

and more INT's and worse completion rates.

It's a team sport. Bama has a gunslinger we could put in, but will ride the pine behind G'mac again this year. I think a lot of this debate will be over after this year. G'mac will either get better or not. If he doesn't have a big year throwing the football he will just be remembered as a good QB that was a winner. That O.K.

Nope. We don't. That headcase couldn't run Alabama's offense. He would've thrown more interceptions at Bama than he did at Arkansas.

If I were a Bama fan, I would trade Mcerloy and Ingram for Mallett, and I believe that I would have improved my team.
You're either a liar or you have no idea what you are talking about. I think you're just flaming. This is good dumb.
You're not very good at this.

i would like to know why he is a headcase? Yea, he could run Bama' vanilla offense.

Yea, he added up the int's last season. An entire 7 int's all season. That is terrible.

He had better numbers than Jordan Jefferson.
Jefferson threw for more yards a game, had the same amount of TDs, more pass plays over 25 yards, higher completion %, and was a better runner.
He did this with a much shittier OL and rushing attack. He also had worse defense eventhough it was pretty good.
He did this while getting to play two less games and he was a first year full time starter as McElroy(eventhough he is younger).
