You can call 1 and get the ball back. You can’t call 2.
I’m not against calling the first one if you see something you really don’t like, there’s zero excuse for the 2nd

Are you gonna bet on Ole Miss defense to get a three and out and then some other things go your way or Ole Miss’ offense to get three yards? Get real.

A minute with college rules is an eternity, you can still work the middle of the field provided it's beyond the 1st down line. And you only need a FG. You make it out to be as if that's some impossible task, it happens all the time in CFB.
Face it, he unnecessarily pissed away any contingency plans by burning those timeouts. There's no excuse for not having a 2 point play ready when you knew the whole drive that you needed one

He gambled on his offense vs his defense. Plain and simple. Do you blame him?

He had to call the first one bc state substituted late and OM only had 7 seconds to run the motion and get the play off. I think the substitution tiles need to be changed to where the play clock is paused bc I’ve seen late substitutions cause this all year. The 2nd timeout was terrible and it was bc of a terrible offensive formation.

That’s the whole point. He should’ve had his best play ready before the drive even started.
This.
Any coach worth a shite has a handful of really good plays that are solely reserved for crucial 2 point conversions or 4th downs.
The fact that Kiffin needed 2 timeouts to call an inside shovel pass when MSU was playing inside run is laughable.

You’d bet on our defense? lol

I'd at least leave them the chance instead of it being an automatic game over.

He blamed the refs post game for having to call those 2 TOs on the 2 point conversion. Something about letting the defense substitute players messing up his play call twice

Beautiful.
That was his MO all season: slow roll all defensive subs as late as the refs will allow and as slow as his defenders can move.

Kitten’s amateur coaching tactics cost Ole Miss multiple games this season.

Fine. But if you’re going to gamble on a single play, offensive, defensive or special teams, you make sure you get exactly what you want and everyone on the same page.
If you don't have your play together and feel 100% about it, you don't run it.

I honestly thought a team could not call consecutive timeouts. That's a rule in both college and pros, right?

Kiffen is a troll of a coach and should be embarrassed.
What has he ever won? A Twitter war? Dude is a fraud.

Kiffin is vastly over-rated as a coach. Without his time at Bama under Saban, his history wouldn't be great. And lets not get into his personal life decisions. He is not HC material.
