Now do how many of those 5 stars opted out of that game for GA and how many played for UT

That poster was responding to an a&m fan And Texas fared against TCU as well as all but 2 teams did this year (one of which Texas beat on the road)

You did beat Kansas this year, though, so you are definitely improving!

How many 5 stars did the 2021 Texas team have? The team that lost to Kansas. Looks like that Kansas team only have THREE 4 Star (not 5 STAR) kids on it.

Texas had more 5 stars on their team than Kansas had 4 stars and still lost to them.

I mean, I get it, but TCU simply was not very good, and probably did not belong in the playoffs. I think Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Tennessee would have beaten TCU and possible wins we could add South Carolina.

Texas. "The fan base that hangs their hat on the past." Congratulations on that huge win from 5 years ago?

We would have hung 70 on Texas this year and you might not have scored on us. (MAYBE in garbage time?)

But Texas scored more than 6x the amount of points against Bama and lost by 1/7 of the margin.
So... that means TCU is better than Alabama according to your theory, right?

Why the past? We currently have more national titles as an athletic department than anybody else in the past 3 years

Why would Texas worry about the team they beat by over 40 on the road?

Why are you pretending a sugar bowl win 4 years ago is more impressive than back to back championships now?

Point to where I said that in this thread

I don't see how SEC teams get so little out of all their 5*s.

Your answer is in your question. The SEC is loaded with 5 stars at all schools. Its not just UGA and Bama, LSU, UT, Florida, Auburn, all have some five stars. You don't get to play Texas Tech and Baylor's every week who have nothing higher than 3 stars. With the exception of Vandy you are playing a team full of blue chippers every week. Texas plays Oklahoma and thats it.

Pretty sure that's not how football works. I mean, congratulations for keeping it close to Alabama. But TCU was absolutely outclassed and outgunned. The game was not in doubt at any point. It wasn't a fluke game. Georgia would beat TCU badly 10/10 times.

Concentrate. We are discussing football here.

quote:

Congratulations on that huge win against Texas... wait when is the last time y'all beat us?
I mean before then when was the last time we played you? I mean, we play once every 15-20 years so you want to scream, "You haven't beaten us in 20 years!" Do you seriously believe Texas would ahve stayed on the field with Georgia this past year? But, muh. 5 years ago. Maybe Texas Texas should concentrate on beating Kansas two years in a row.

Then why are you trying to use the same logic for Texas?

I'm trying, but you're all over the place

Yet... you're hiding behind TCU to take shots at Texas?

Again, you say not to use head-to-head, and then use a past head-to-head result against a different team from before this past season. You are literally all over the place

Kind of... like... how Georgia has lost to Texas more recently than they've beat Texas?

Sorry to use your own logic against you

Already answered that:

And Texas fared against TCU as well as all but 2 teams did this year (one of which Texas beat on the road)

So Georgias goal is to Win Narional Championships, we played for 3 and won 2 in 5 years. When we dont get the playoffs, our players opt out.

Meanwhile Texas has never made the playoffs despite OU and TCU making it. So your goal has been to beat a UGA team in an off year. Way to think big there junior.

Who said that was our goal? Texas is rebuilding to have a championship-level football program again, so the goal can be like all sports on campus: to win a national championship.

Seems to be working for those sports - Texas has won more national titles as a school than any other since the beginning of the 2020-21 athletic season. Hopefully football makes a turnaround, too.

I guess we'll have to wait and see
