This should be an embarrassment for Simmons (he will realize when he matures), an embarrassment for Sark, an embarrassment for Texas and their alum/fans and an embarrassment for the SEC. Sankey should grab his junk and fine Texas for embarrassing the league…but we know he won’t.

It was bad. What really upset me was the fact that there is no way he came up with that in the moment…
That “celebration” was rehearsed.
What the frick? Why??? Who does that???
He literally changed the momentum of the game to Tennessee’s favor with that stunt.
I have made some jokes about it here (And I will continue to do so because it’s what you do here) but make no mistake, that angered me to no end.

It was intentionally individualistic stupid behavior. Sark should have benched him, permanently.

Takes a lot to get to the shock factor anymore, but somehow Simmons got there. The stupid part of what he did is easy. The fact he rehearsed that celebration and believed he was good to go makes that stupid, stupid beyond thought. That level of stupid is hard to get to in any aspect of life.

Thinking back to when the greenies were called thugs, the Pointer Brothers, when the "horror" was pointing to opposing teams' players on the ground.. That's pretty much when the taunting rule came into play.

Nothing more modern US than actual societal problems requiring individual solutions but also actual individual problems requiring societal solutions.
